Additional Opportunities

for conversation, networking and further learning

Leadership Institute will be filled with vital conversations as we, together, shape the future of the United Methodist Church. We understand the significance these conversations can hold for the future of the denomination. Take advantage of every opportunity to hear and learn from United Methodists from a variety of perspectives.

Thursday Evening: David Brooks

Resurrection Leawood Sanctuary, 7 pm

General Session Speaker David Brooks will return on Thursday evening for an open event for the Resurrection congregation and community, talking about his new book The Second Mountain. Leadership Institute participants who are interested in hearing more from David Brooks are welcome to return after dinner for this community event.

Thursday Lunch & Learns

Pick up a box lunch and select a Lunch & Learn during the Thursday lunch time. Take the opportunity to learn how potential changes to the denomination might impact General Agencies, gather with alumni from your seminary, learn more about a sponsor or join others to learn about a variety of extension ministries. See below for a list of lunch gatherings. Check back to see new opportunities as they are added.
